About

South Dublin Reads (formerly Ballyroan Reads) is a book review blog from  South Dublin Libraries.

Books are our stock in trade, and as you can imagine, we’re all big readers, so why not let us sift through what’s hot, what’s moving, what we loved, what we’d recommend and what you absolutely must avoid. Also, this blog will answer the eternal question we get asked – What are you reading?  Let us know if you agree in the comments, and tell us what you’re reading!

Book reviews are posted on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Every Wednesday we point out five new or forthcoming books of a type to watch out for.
Mondays and Fridays, we post about those #brilliantbooktitles that have caught our eye whilst shelving!

We changed our name on 1st March 2018 to South Dublin Reads to better reflect the spread out nature of our contributors, who are now across South Dublin Libraries.

  1. Howdy Ballyroanreads! Thanks for following my blog! I love that as librarians you are putting your opinions out there on books! You said “Let us know if you agree in the comments, and tell us what you’re reading!” above and I am going to say: Heck Yah I agree! I am at this moment reading an advanced reader copy (arc) called Deep Six by D.P. Lyle. Have a great day!
